Our ultimate mission is to instill in the lives of people everywhere the importance of a maintained level of health and fitness.
Our principles stem from years of experience in the strength and conditioning and personal training field. Our programs consist of three basic, but very important components.
Movement (Foundation): A person’s ability to produce movement that satisfies the needs and demands of their sport or everyday life. Do you have capable joint ranges of motion? Can you move in all three planes of motion? Is your movement uninhibited? This can be assessed using the Functional Movement Screen.
Fitness: This is an individuals overall fitness level. Do you have a basic level of fitness or have you been sedentary? Do you have the work capacity to satisfy the needs and demands of the sport or activities of daily living ? Do you lack in some area of fitness (strength, power, endurance) that can be improved?
Stress: A persons ability to tolerate, adapt to and resist stress. How well do you adapt to physical demands? How much training can you tolerate? How well does the athlete thrive in the chaotic nature of sport? Stress is measured through wellness, a nutrition program, sleep habits, heart rate variability and recovery tactics.
Whether your goal is fat loss or improving speed, we don’t like to prescribe exercises if we don’t know how someone moves. We don’t program training methods if we don’t know someone’s initial fitness level, where they are at, and where they need to go. And we don’t implement training programs without having an understanding of how the person adapts to it.
